An architect draws it and a licensed engineer signs it. Every build gets lifted, trucked, and craned into place, so it is designed to survive the trip, not just the backyard.

The wood

Every bench, wall, and surface is wood that has been baked in a kiln first. The moisture and sap cook out, so it holds its shape through decades of heating and cooling. No warping. No cracking.

Why bake the wood first?
The moisture and sap are cooked out, so it holds its shape through decades of heat cycles instead of warping and cracking.
What is the exterior made of?
Board and batten is included; charred pine, ash, and pine are available. Each model page prices its own options.
Are the plans actually engineered?
Yes. An architect draws the plans and a licensed engineer stamps them. The sauna is designed to be lifted, transported by truck and set in place by crane.
How does the sauna hold heat?
We plan the room size, ceiling height, benches, airflow, heater size and amount of stones together. Designing a backyard sanctuary covers choosing the right location.
